Problems
Why AI never mentions your brand

The short version: if AI never names your brand, it is almost always one of three gaps - your own pages, the sources AI reads, or the buy-layer. Here is each, and how to close it.
Gap 1: Your own pages do not give the model enough. AI can only recommend what it can understand. If your site is thin on clear, specific answers - what you sell, who it is for, why it is better, at what price - the model has nothing solid to repeat. Vague, brochure-style copy gets skipped. Clear, honest, answer-shaped content gets used.
Gap 2: The sources AI reads do not mention you. The models lean heavily on third-party sources - Reddit, YouTube, reviews, buying guides, editorial round-ups. If your competitors show up in those and you do not, the model has heard of them and not you. This is the big one, and the hardest, because you cannot just edit it yourself. It has to be built.
Gap 3: Even when named, the buy goes to a rival. This is the one almost nobody measures. AI increasingly recommends specific products to buy, and it compares on price, reviews, availability and the sources it trusts. You can be mentioned and still lose the actual sale to a competitor's product. Knowing your name is not the same as selling your product.
How to close them. On-site: give the model genuinely useful, specific content. Off-site: get into the sources it reads, through content, community and earned coverage. Buy-layer: fix the product data and reviews the model compares on. In that order, usually - though the honest answer is it depends on which gap is actually yours, which is exactly what a proper read tells you.
